Abbiamo provato questa vela, presso il centro test P.W.B. di Portonovo (AN); e-mail : info@pwb.it, in condizioni di vento medio-leggero e rafficato. Ci è sembrato di essere far i più plananti in acqua, grazie alla ottima partenza in planata ed alla capacità di superare i buchi di vento. Il profilo molto omogeneo e compatto danno alla vela un temperamento all’apparenza pesante ma in realtà molto reattivo. Alla prima partenza dall’acqua sembra di dover gestire qualcosa di più pesante del solito, ma è solo una sensazione data dalla stabilità dell’insieme dei ferzi.

E’ stato invece alla prima stranbata che ci siamo sentiti come irresistibilmente attratti dalla bugna del boma così “vicina” e stabile da invogliarci a provare ogni tipo di manovra che la coinvolgesse. Il profilo di base rinforzato da ribordatura in gomma e la stabilità di profilo generale (assicurata dai tessuti wave, le stecche rastremate ed una buona cura dei dettagli costruttivi) rendono la navigazione bugna avanti, e tutte le sue varianti, assolutamente naturale ciò decisamente incoraggia a rotazioni fino ad ora inattese.

La tramatura totale con ovvie differenziazioni degli spessori nelle varie aree, la rendono assolutamente indicata ad un utilizzo fra le onde ed a un freestyle hardcore.
Una novità assoluta è l’elastico ed il relativo bottone a cui assicurarne l’occhiello per fermare la vela arrotolata, presenti nella base, e riporla senza sacca (così pesante quando si viaggia in aereo).
Che altro aggiungere? Una gran voglia di conoscerla meglio…

We've tried this sail in lighty gusty winds. We're seaming like the most easy planner in the water, thanks to the fast start and the ability of the foil to pass thru lulls. The compact shape, gives at first an heavy impression, but its due to the solid construction, very reactive and stable.

The first jube has been like opening the door to a world of new moves as the "so close" clew was steady and ready to any move. The base of the sail has a full rubber coverage that increase the stability of the lower shape, ad more : the webbed tissues, the high standard of sewing and the profiled battens. You'll have a stuff made for hardcore freestyling and wave riding use.

New is the chance to roll the sail and close it ; thanks to the button and its elastic button hole in the base area. This allows to avoid the use of the sail sack-bag (so heavy when you fly, .. and pay for every oz.)
