Personalizzazione della misura della pagaia
Strumenti necessari :
sega a mano
nastro adesivo (tipo nastro telato americano)
carta vetrata con grana 80
5 millilitri di resina epoxy
acetone
misura della pagaia : 7” oltre l’altezza
della persona.
Presa l’altezza aggiungete 7 inches. Poi sottraete 2,5” per
la maniglia.
Esempio : persona alta 6 piedi (72” + 7 = 79 – 2,5 = 76,5”)
Misurate
Avvolgete l’area da tagliare con il nastro adesivo per evitare che
il carbonio si sfogli durante il taglio. Tagliate dove desiderato con
la sega mano.
Carteggiare i bordi fino a renderli arrotondati ed anche 1 – 2 “ dentro il tubo per preparare la superficie alla resina epoxy. Carteggiate inoltre la parte della maniglia che andrà inserita nella pagaia.
Mescolate 5 millilitri di resina epoxy (resina + catalizzatore). Applicate in abbondanza all’interno del tubo e intorno all’area della maniglia da inserire. Inserite la maniglia rivolgendola verso il basso. Inserite con decisione ed asportate la resina in eccesso con uno straccio ed acetone. C’è un piccolo segno sulla maniglia che dovrebbe corrispondere con quello sulla pala.
Sistemate la maniglia parallela con la pala guardando la pala in basso. Mettete il nastro adesivo sulla maniglia mentre asciuga. Fatela asciugare sottosopra sulla maniglia, senza muoverla finchè l’epoxy non asciuga. Pronta all’uso quando il tempo consigliato per far asciugare l’epoxy è trascorso.

Sizing Paddles Tools necessary
:
hack saw
masking tape
80 grit sand paper
5 min epoxy
acetone
Paddle size : paddle size should be 7” over person’s height.
Take height and add
7”. Then minus 2,5” for the handle.
(example : 6 foot tall person (72” + 7 = 79 - 2,5 = 76,5”)
for cut.
Measure from front/ bottom of blade up the shaft and mark lenght
Wrap cut area with masking tape to stop chipping.
Cut as desired lenght with hacksaw.
Sand previously cut shaft edges until smooth and 1 – 2 “ inside of shaft to make bond surface for epoxy. Also sand the part of the handle that will be inserted into the paddle.
Mix 5 minute epoxy. Apply liberal amount inside shaft and around “insert area” on handle. Insert handle with flat curve of handle facing forward. Push in tight and wipe off excess epoxy with a rag and acetone. There’s a small dip / indent on the handle that should be facing up with the front blade.
Set handle parallel
with the blade looking down shaft to blade. Place masking tape over the
top of the handle in place while drying. Let dry upside down on the handle,
untouched until epoxy has set up. Ready to use after cure time reccommended
on epoxy.
